20 clips of draft chapters/segments that didn't make the final cut of the film. The original edited length was two hours and twenty minutes - the final version is almost an hour shorter. Cut in late 2023 and early 2024 these drafts to not contain color correction or sound effects. The voice over you will hear was a placeholder for an intended narrator. We ultimately decided that Steve's voice could carry the entire film. Michael Karp's music score was composed between April and August of 2024. In addition to some unseen footage, you'll hear Steve read the letter he wrote home from Kent on the first day he ever saw a rowing shell, see him at Kent's chapel which meant so much to him while he was there, see him playing football, hear the handwritten letter he wrote each individual athlete at Harvard, more of Pat Spratlen, Greg Hughes, and five minutes of Xeno Muller's interviews, Steve's interpretation of the IRA trophy, more about Steve and Harry Parker, the resurrection of Gales Ferry, and more.
